At that time, Ted knew he could sell signs but had no idea whether he could make one. After learning how to turn the computer on, the business was set in motion with his wife, Debbie and (step) daughter, Jennifer Florinki, on the financial end of things.
Conducting business was learned along the way, like most small businesses. The goal of Sign Creations has always been to produce the highest quality product and making sure to please the customer.
Sign Creations doesn't have a store front. Instead, customers are pleased to find that Sign Creations comes to them for their projects which allows for greater flexiblity for all parties involved.
In 2002, Ted's (step) daughter, Jennifer, began learning the business on the design and production end of things.
Ted has been an active member of the Leslie community for many years. He has been involved with the Leslie Board of Education, Leslie Area Education Foundation, Leslie Downtown Development Authority and the LDFA. Sign Creations has sponsored the Leslie Car Show and the Tompkins Freedom Festival.
Sign Creations foususes on vinyl graphics which include auto graphics, window displays, banners, sand blasted signs, garment transfers, magnetic signs, logo designs and much more.
